Wedding Top Tips
Here is the 9th installment of my blog series “Wedding Top Tips” and it’s all about wedding videography this time as I'm interviewing UK based videographer Anneka Ireland-Wolfe.
Tell us a bit more about your company and how it came about?
We started out in 2009 filming a couple of family and friends weddings for fun, and realised how much we loved capturing such a momentous day. The thought of having this memory captured on film and being able to watch it in the years to come really pushed me to develop wedding filming into a full time career.
The company has evolved and grown over the last 9 years and we like to treat every wedding differently, making them all unique in their own quirky way. Our style is very unobtrusive and natural, we are often told that guests didn't even realise that the couple had had a videographer at the wedding!
What has been the best or most memorable wedding you've worked on so far?
A very hard question as we love filming weddings, they're all amazing in their own way. I suppose if I had to choose it would be an outdoor tipi wedding, full of little thoughtful ideas, creations, music, games and fun. Seeing the couple and their guests laughing all day is just infectious, we are spoilt for shots!
What are your 2 top tips for brides and grooms to be?
1. Research into videographers and their styles, also the coverage that you'd like to have. Decide on a realistic budget and contact the ones you like.
2. SMILE....alot... all day! Any last minute stresses on the day don't matter anymore and you'll be pleased that you did (even if your cheeks hurt) when the film is ready to watch!
