After a little break from blogging the past few months, I’m happy to finally share the 13th instalment of my blog series “Wedding Top Tips” with you and it’s all about wedding venues this time as I've interviewed Lily Lubowitz from OXO2 in London. I shoot a wedding there is summer and it’s such a lovely space with its beautiful view of the Thames and St. Paul’s right on its doorstep as well as a great team to help you organise and enjoy your wedding day to the fullest.
Tell us a bit more about your company and how it came about?
Located on Level Two of the iconic OXO Tower, OXO2 is a breath-taking, contemporary space offering panoramic views across the river Thames. The building has a rich history and was originally used as a power station. In the 1920’s it was occupied by OXO beef cube and its architect, Albert Moore, incorporated the design into windows on the tower to get around a ban on skyline advertising! Now an event space, the contemporary, minimalistic design in harmony with its spacious layout, makes OXO2 an extremely versatile venue. The blank canvas, gallery style rooms allows clients the capacity to completely transform the venue, allowing unparalleled views of the city to take centre stage.
What has been the best or most memorable wedding you've worked on so far?
All the weddings I've worked on have been so memorable and unique in their own way. I love the weddings which incorporate fun family traditions and where the speeches are really special and moving.

What are your 2 top tips for brides and grooms to be?
Remember that this is a day for you to enjoy and try not to worry over details that other people will not notice. Focus on planning a memorable and fun day that you and all your guests will enjoy. Use suppliers you trust, and have all the plans in writing so you know that you have prepared everything in advance and can enjoy the run up to the day and the day itself.
