PORTRAITS

I love working with people and started my photography journey with portrait photography. Having done over 2200 shoots over the past 10 years has enabled me to meet a lot of wonderful people and get a lot of experience under my belt. My approach is very relaxed and natural, no awkward posing. The aim is for you to enjoy the whole experience because if you're having fun and enjoying yourself it will result in some super awesome images for your personal collection, social media, online dating or blog.

Have a look around and if you like what I do, feel free to drop me a line to book your shoot or just to say hello!

FAQ Questions.jpg

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNTIL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

The usual turnaround for your photos from our portrait shoot is approx. 1-2 weeks. I will send you the proofs within the first week of our session for you to select the images you want me to edit.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?

That depends on the package you selcted. It's either 5, 10 or 16 edited (digital) images. You can always buy additional ones in case you can't narrow it down. Each additional image costs £10.

WHERE IS MY SHOOT TAKING PLACE?

I specialise in natural light photography, which is one of the reasons for my natural and vibrant style. This means all shoots will be outdoor at a location we agreed on beforehand. Occiasionally we might make use of a coffee shop or store front, but that depends on how much natural light is available in those places.

CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP THAT?

I could, but I'm not going to. I don't airbrush people in my portrait work. My rule is to edit temporay things like spots for example, but I don't photoshop people like magazines do. It's all about authenticity and self-love. It would also most likely double the delivery time for your images.

Photoshop itself is an artform and can be very time consuming as well and although I'm able to do the basics, all extensive retouching outside of your package will need to be outsourced and charged additionally.

I HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN, WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM?

I haven’t come across many people who say “Oooh yes, I LOVE having my photo taken!”, so you’re not alone in thinking that. But the way I work is that we wander around on the shoot, chatting and larking around. Then I will work around you & will do my utmost to put you at your ease and get some great shots. But please bear this in mind - the more you put into the shoot, the more you will get out of it when you get your final photos back. Stepping outside your comfort zone is where the magic happens.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS, SNOWS, HAILS OR GETS FREEZING COLD?

Sometimes the British weather can be a bit unpredictable, but if the forecast suggests relentless and/or heavy rain/drizzle/snow/hail at the time of your shoot I will contact you the day before to see if you would like to reschedule. Also, if it looks like it’s going to be freezing cold at the time of your shoot making you uncomfortable, then that’s OK too, as long as you let me know by 6pm the day before your shoot, you’re free to reschedule.
